The drive from Boucherville to Sainte-Julie, all the way to the model homes

To visit a new semi-detached home near Boucherville, you first need to get to 435 Geoffrion Street in Sainte-Julie, home to Maisons Pépin's sales office, where BÉAcité welcomes its visitors. The good news: the drive from Boucherville to Sainte-Julie takes place almost entirely on a single highway, the A-20.

The distances and times below come from the open-source OSRM route planner and assume a clear road: at rush hour, the same route takes longer. As the crow flies, Boucherville city hall and Geoffrion Street are only 12.5 km apart.

You'll find the two most useful routes here, the way back, the options without a car and, to finish, the sales office's opening hours.

How long is the drive from Boucherville to Sainte-Julie on Highway 20?

From city hall (Centre administratif Clovis-Langlois, 500 rue de la Rivière-aux-Pins), the fastest route covers 21.4 km, about 19 minutes without traffic:

  1. take Boulevard du Fort-Saint-Louis and Boulevard De Montarville to Route 132, for about 2.2 km;
  2. at the exit 89-90 interchange, follow the signs for "20 Est, 30: Longueuil, Québec" and Boulevard Marie-Victorin, then drive about 14.9 km east on Highway 20;
  3. take exit 105, the Route 229 exit (Saint-Basile-le-Grand, McMasterville, Saint-Mathieu-de-Belœil);
  4. follow Rue Bernard-Pilon and Montée des Quarante-Deux, then Avenue des Bâtisseurs, Rue Bissonnette and Geoffrion Street.

From Old Boucherville, start on Boulevard Marie-Victorin for about 2 km before joining Route 132: the drive is then 21.8 km, about 21 minutes. Once past exit 105, the signs for the Vallée-du-Richelieu golf club, then BÉAcité's own signs, lead you to Geoffrion Street.

Starting from the Boulevard de Mortagne area

If you're leaving from around Boulevard de Mortagne, another route makes more sense: head to Boulevard de Mortagne, then take the "20 Est: Québec" ramp. On the highway, you pass the Highway 30 interchange (exit 98) and exit 102 (Sainte-Julie) before reaching exit 105. From the Terminus de Mortagne, allow 16.7 km and about 16 minutes without traffic.

From city hall, the same route is 20.3 km and takes about 21 minutes: slightly shorter than the first one in distance, slightly longer in time. Either way, there is only one highway to follow, which keeps regular trips simple.

The way back to Boucherville and its industrial parks

On the way back, the ramps aren't symmetrical, so the times change a little:

  • to city hall: 19.8 km, about 18 minutes;
  • to Old Boucherville: 20.0 km, about 19 minutes;
  • to the Boulevard de Mortagne area, via exit 92: 14.3 km, about 13 minutes;
  • to the Edison industrial park, via exit 95 and Chemin Du Tremblay: 12.3 km, about 12 minutes.

That last figure matters to anyone who works in Boucherville: according to the city, its two industrial parks are home to 664 businesses and 24,811 jobs, 14,853 of them in the Edison park alone. In the 2021 Census, 36.7% of Boucherville commuters worked in their own city. If your workplace is there, compare these travel times with your current commute.

Without a car: a transfer in Longueuil

No bus links Boucherville and Sainte-Julie directly: the official schedules of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) and exo have no stop in common between the two cities, and neither city has a train station. The trip takes two legs:

  • from Boucherville to the Longueuil terminus: twelve RTL routes make the connection on weekdays. Route 80 (De Montarville / Carrefour de la Rive-Sud), for example, has 24 departures in each direction on a weekday and takes 23 to 30 minutes from the Carrefour de la Rive-Sud; routes 120 and 161 also serve the Mortagne park-and-ride lot;
  • from the Longueuil terminus to the Sainte-Julie terminus: exo route 350 (Express Longueuil) has 23 weekday departures toward Sainte-Julie, from 6:15 a.m. to 1:10 a.m., with a ride of 20 to 35 minutes; on Saturdays, 11 departures in each direction. Route 325 (Express Longueuil – Cégep) adds 14 weekday departures toward Sainte-Julie, between 9:22 a.m. and 6:32 p.m., and route 340 runs 4 trips each way on weekends;
  • to Geoffrion Street: the nearby stops are served only by the T34 taxibus, on weekdays and by reservation; the terminus itself is just a few minutes away by car.

No total travel time is given here, since it depends on the connections: check the RTL and exo schedules before you set out. Once in Sainte-Julie, local buses are free for everyone.
